Weigela towers of flowers® ‘cherry' is a showy new variety with a versatile, columnar habit. This upright shrub boasts an opulent display of cherry-red blooms in may and june, which fill the entire length of each stem, creating a pillar of colour. The young leaves emerge bronze tinted before maturing to a handsome dark green. Like all weigela, this variety is tough and reliable, requiring minimal maintenance. Its quick growing, vertical stems make it perfect for creating a living screen on a patio or balcony. Also a great choice for wildlife areas, where it will attract attention from pollinating insects.
