With the first flowers appearing in spring and a second flush in autumn, these really are outstanding hardy perennials; perfect for summer borders. They are hardy, drought-tolerant with exceptional disease and insect resistance. Height 90cm (36"); spread 30cm (12"). Collection comprises: Iris 'Orange Harvest' - Rust orange flowers. Iris 'Victoria Falls' - Light blue iris flowers. Iris 'Cantina' - Violet blooms. Iris 'Buckwheat' - Golden yellow petals. Iris 'Pass the Wine' - Dark purple flowers topped with lavender. Growing Information A sunny position in well drained soil is ideal for growing iris. Bearded iris rhizomes prefer an open position where the rhizomes can bake in the summer sun, without being shaded by other plants. These perennials require a very free draining soil, so amend heavy clay soils with plenty of grit and well rotted manure prior to planting. When planting iris, ensure that the rhizome sits just at the soil surface as they are prone to rot if planted too deeply.
