The acer shirasawanum 'moonrise' is one of the many varieties of japanese maple. This japanese maple has beautiful colours which will brighten up your garden. In the spring, the acer gets orange leaves with a special shape. During the summer, the leaves turn bright yellow and in the autumn they change to red-orange. This mixture of colours makes it a special plant to see and a nice addition to your garden.

A japanese maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy and will sprout again with beautiful new leaves starting in march.
