Compact patio peach tree 'sunset' - self-fertile, ideal for containers and small gardens. Produces abundant clingstone sweet fruit in summer, with attractive spring blossom and purple-tinged foliage that adds colour through the season. Grafted on a short stem with a well-branched head, prune after fruiting by trimming shoots by about half and removing dead or crossing branches. Best grown in full sun in well-drained loamy soil, suitable for containers or garden beds. Supplied potted ready to plant, keep moist if planting is delayed. Planting tips: plant at same level as pot, improve soil with well-rotted manure, use a loam-based compost for containers and ensure good drainage.
