Marshalls Garden Patio Plum 'opal' - Fan-trained, Self-fertile

Patio plum 'opal' from marshalls garden is a compact, fan-trained tree that yields heavy crops of red-blushed fruits with sweet golden-yellow, juicy flesh. Ripening in late summer, the plums are excellent for eating fresh or cooking and are produced on a tree covered in attractive white blossom that draws pollinators. Self-fertile and easy to grow, 'opal' is supplied as a bare-root, fan-trained specimen (age at despatch 1–2 years) on st julien a rootstock, flowers in fg3 and typically fruits in 2–4 years with a mature height of about 3m (10ft). Prefers full sun and well-drained soil; ideal for walls, fences, patios or small gardens.
