Marshalls garden mountain ash 'joseph rock' bare root tree, prized for fiery autumn foliage in shades of red, orange, copper and purple. Produces clusters of white flowers in april–may, followed by small yellow berries in autumn that attract birds. Compact, hardy tree suited to garden beds, containers or patios, tolerates full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained, loamy soil. Supplied on sorbus aucuparia rootstock, typically pruned before dispatch for healthy establishment; height at maturity about 12m/40ft. For best fruit set, plant with other trees from the same or adjacent flowering groups.
