Marshalls garden mint 'tashkent' produces crinkled green leaves with a strong spearmint flavour and mauve-pink flower spikes in summer that attract bees. Use fresh leaves in teas, sauces or with vegetables, and on new potatoes. This rust-resistant, hardy perennial grows in full sun or light shade in well-drained soil; plant in a container to keep it under control. Typical size: about 80 cm tall with a 60 cm spread.
