Marshalls garden lemon variegated thyme (thymus citridorus aureus) is a compact, aromatic herb with green-and-gold variegated leaves and pale lilac flowers. Ideal for flavouring stuffing, stews, pies and chutneys, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Grows to about 15cm and is supplied as a 1l plant, making it perfect for rock gardens, borders, crevices and containers. Pollinator-friendly, hardy and low-maintenance, it also makes an attractive ground cover at the front of borders.
