French marigold 'tiger eyes' produces striking bi-coloured dwarf blooms - dark maroon petals with burnt orange centres, perfect for borders and containers. Easy to grow from seed, sow indoors on moist compost, cover lightly and keep warm at 10-15°c, then transplant seedlings 5cm apart and plant out 25cm apart after the last frost. Reaches about 20cm, prefers full sun and well-drained soil, water regularly, feed fortnightly while flowering and remove dead flowers to prolong the display.
