Marshalls garden blueberry 'bluegold' is a late-season cultivar that produces heavy crops of large, sweet berries from mid to late summer. It also provides delicate spring flowers (may to august) and colourful autumn foliage (september to november), adding ornamental interest as well as fruit. Self-fertile but benefits from cross-pollination, 'bluegold' prefers acidic soil or ericaceous compost in a sunny, sheltered spot and adapts well to pots or garden beds. Hardy and easy to prune, it grows to about 244 cm and yields abundant harvests for snacking, baking, or freezing.
