Compact, horizontal-habit deciduous shrub with yellow-green oval leaves that turn orange in autumn. Produces pale cream flowers in spring and bright red berries later; spiny growth habit makes it useful as ground cover and for borders and attracts pollinators. Hardy, thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, and grows to about 100 cm tall and wide; supplied as 1 x 3l plant.
