Mounded, semi-trailing begonia 'groovy orange' produces masses of long-lasting, pendent orange flowers against dark green foliage, ideal for hanging baskets, containers, window boxes and borders. Sow indoors thinly on moist seed compost, cover lightly and keep at 10-25°c, keeping compost moist. Move seedlings to a light position out of direct sun, transplant 5 cm apart or into 8 cm pots, and harden off for 2–3 weeks before planting out from april onwards. Keep well watered during warm spells, feed regularly while flowering and remove spent blooms to prolong the display; plants reach around 35 cm and typically flower june to october.
