Deep blue flowerheads on tall stems provide striking summer colour. Agapanthus africanus 'big blue' reaches about 90 cm tall with a 45 cm spread, flowering from june to august above semi-evergreen, straplike foliage. Hardy and low-maintenance, it prefers full sun and well-drained soil, and looks spectacular in borders or large containers. Also an excellent fresh or dried cut flower and attractive to pollinators, supplied as 7.5l plants.
