Elegant square stems create the plant's open frame and hold large, flattened heads of fragrant, lilac-purple flowers above the foliage from july to october. Verbena bonariensis holds the rhs award of garden merit for its outstanding and reliable performance in the garden. a hardy perennial which reaches up to 2m in height with a spread of 50cm.
