The lower lip of the blooms will fade in colour as the blooms mature, so you will get many changing shades of colour on the plant at the same time. Salvia microphylla ‘wine and roses’ prefers well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay. Plant in full sun or partial shade where a mature height and spread of 75-80cm will be achieved. A hardy, semi-evergreen perennial which will need additional protection if temperatures fall below -5 to -10°c. Supplied in 9cm pots.
