Hayloft Penstemon Firebird - 9cm Pots

Wiry wine-red stems bear a bounty of bright red, trumpet-shaped blooms from late may to november, often longer. Penstemon are so easy to grow, a mainstay of the summer and autumn garden, and one of the longest blooming perennials. Incredibly hard working, penstemon are oblivious to drought or rain and positively thrive in most soil conditions, in containers or borders, sun or partial shade, and they propagate so easily. It will reach a mature height of approximately 60-90cm, spreading to between 45-60cm.
