Berries follow once the flowers fade and, although not for human consumption, provide a feast for wildlife once the pollinators have had their fill of nectar. Lonicera periclymenum 'strawberries and cream' likes a spot in full sun or partial shade which benefits from moist, well-drained soil. A hardy shrub growing to a height and spread of 1m, which does not require winter protection throughout most of the uk though extra care may be needed if planted in a pot.
