Lavatera 'marshmallow strawberry cream’ is a medium-sized shrub with pretty, pastel pink blooms from april to september each year. Blooms are a nectar-rich enticement for pollinators and look fabulous as cut flowers for a vase or bouquet. As a more compact variety which reaches a height and spread of 1.5 metres, ‘strawberry cream’ is ideal for a large container as well as a shrubby border or sunny corner. Verdant foliage is held from march to october, making this mallow ideal for filling gaps in your planting too with the silky, hollyhock-like blooms adding stature and presence to the garden. Plant lavatera 'marshmallow strawberry cream’ in a light, moderately fertile, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun and has any aspect other than north facing. Supplied in 9cm pots.
