Hydrangea scandens ‘first love’, the first hydrangea to flower as early as april. This enchanting compact hydrangea not only flowers from april it continues to bloom through to june with an abundance of delicate lace-cap flowers. Each plant will be covered generously with bright pink flowers. Like most hydrangeas the colour will change depending on the ph of your soil, if they are grown in acidic soil, they will flower blue. Suitable for beginner gardeners, highly rewarding and a delight. Plant in your border or make a feature in a container. Hydrangea scandens ‘first love’ is compact and has a naturally full, bushy habit to produce plenty of flowers. Low maintenance and easy to grow, delivering effortless elegance. Growing to a height and spread of 1.5m. They will thrive in a sunny or partially shaded position in moist, well drained soil. They will appreciate a sheltered position out of cold drying wind. First love is hardy to -10. Supplied in 12cm pots.
