Large, upright, goblet-shaped blooms, the inner petals are lilac, while the white outer petals create an incredible contrast with their dark purple feathering. The arrival of the first crocuses of spring stir the heart, indicating that winter is losing its icy grip and warmer times are just over the horizon.
