Centaurea montana produces detailed and intriguing blooms which love a spot in partial or dappled shade as much as one in full sun. With this in mind their linear, fringed petals and fascinating blooms are perfect for a shady patch in a border, the edges of woodland and underneath taller shrubs or trees. Flowers are held on upright stems and act as magnet for pollinators and blooms from may to july each year.
