As such flowers are now a familiar sight in naturalistic planting schemes and fit well into cottage gardens as well as more modern, urban schemes. In recent years american breeders have developed a series of taller varieties with slightly larger flower clusters, available in a wider range of colours. As part of these developments, we are delighted to bring you betonica officinalis ‘summer snowcone’ with its avalanche of white flowers from june to august each year. Flowers rise over mounds of attractive, wrinkled leaves and with blooms borne on long, leafless stems which make a magical inclusion in flower arrangements.
