Anemone hupehensis var. Japonica ‘splendens’ is a graceful and dependable late-summer perennial, valued for its vibrant colour, delicate form, and reliable performance. This japanese anemone variety produces masses of deep pink, semi-double flowers with golden-yellow stamens that dance above clumps of dark green, deeply cut foliage. Blooming from late summer well into autumn, ‘splendens’ provides a welcome splash of colour just as many other perennials begin to fade. The blooms are borne on tall, wiry stems reaching up to 80cm, making them ideal for adding vertical interest to borders, woodland edges, or naturalistic plantings.
