Many white buds are held in a star-like cluster, bursting open to reveal trumpet-shaped blooms with bright blue bases. Creating spherical flowerheads, strong stems hold them above strap-shaped foliage. Your garden will dazzle from july until september, often longer, to the delight of your friendly pollinators.striking and architectural, agapanthus make superb cut flower displays to enjoy in your home, lasting up to two weeks in a vase. Native to south africa, hence the common name, african lily, the name agapanthus comes from the greek words for flower and love. Happy in borders or containers agapanthus grow well in coastal areas. Fully able to cope with salty, sea breezes and hardy to around -10 c, the foliage is evergreen over the winter months - the plants become bigger and better each year reaching a height and spread of 60cm, agapanthus fireworks prefers to be grown in well-drained soil and full sun, plant in drifts for the best display. Supplied in 9cm pots.
