Rubus fruticosus 'thornfree' is a thornless blackberry that produces many that produce lots of fruit. This blackberry produces delicious sweet fruits that are perfect for use in, for example, a jam or blackberry juice. The thornfree is self-pollinating. The blackberry blooms from late april to early june with striking and deliciously scented white-pink flowers that attract bees and bumblebees. The blackberries can be picked from july to september. The plant is hardy.
Carerubus fruticosus 'thornfree' needs to be pruned regularly. This can be done both in spring and autumn. After harvesting, the branches on which the fruits were attached can be pruned off completely. Blackberry likes humus-rich, slightly acid soil and likes a sunny spot, but also does well in semi-shade.
Sizeon delivery, the plants have a height of 50-60cm, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are delivered in a 15cm diameter nursery pot.
