Verbena 'buenos aires' is a tall, airy herbaceous perennial with masses of vivid violet-purple flower clusters atop slender stems, adding height and movement to borders, prairie-style and wildlife gardens. Supplied as jumbo plugs, standard plugs or 9cm plants, it thrives in full sun in well-drained soil and is hardy. Flowers from march to september and is highly attractive to bees and butterflies, making it ideal for pollinator-rich plantings and mixed perennial borders, reaching about 250 cm in height.
