Hayloft Pennisetum Purple Baron - Ornamental Millet 3 Young Plants

Dramatic, broad leaves emerge from pennisetum glaucum ‘purple baron’, green at first before quickly maturing to deep, burgundy purple. From july to september, these are crowned with large, thick, almost bottlebrush-like, dark purple flower spikes. A bold, striking plant which is useful in summer planting schemes (particularly those with a hot colour theme) where it can provide a dark foliage backdrop and vertical accents with its flowers.  grows to a height of 90cm with a spread of 1m.
