Golden king is an excellent holly bush, bearing lush dark-green, smooth leaves with golden margins. Although its name suggests male, golden king is in fact a female, self-fertile shrub, producing small white flowers during the summer, followed by clusters of bright-red berries during the winter. It can grow in full sun or shade and will tolerate a wide variety of soils. Can grow into a small tree if left un-pruned, growing approx 10ft+ tall, but can easily be trimmed to the size and height you like. The berries provide a source of food for birds during the winter months. You will receive 1 very healthy plant growing in a 9cm pot and is ready to plant out in the garden.
