Carpinus betulus root ball is an ideal cost effective instant hedging tree, commonly known as the hornbeam, is a superb long established native hedging tree. Looks and grows very similar to beech, however the leaves have much deeper veins. A perfect hedging solution where soil conditions are poor or for very exposed areas. Very hardy & semi evergreen, the leaves in spring and summer are lush green in colour turning golden brown in winter. Again similar to the beech tree, however does drop slightly more leaves than beech. Ideal hedging tree to create privacy and can also be used as a windbreak or noise barrier.
