Great for planting at the back of the border or pot where they will stand regal and proud amongst your spring planting scheme.according to legend, as jesus was on his way to be crucified, all flowers bent their heads except for the proud crown imperial. God reprimanded the plant, and it has bowed its head ever since. Loved by bees and deer resistant, the plants have a faint musky odour, which is known to keep moles, mice, and other rodents away.
